Final Major Projects

As you know for our final major projects a few of us are taking on projects in Plymouth- at this rate we are going to regenerate the whole of Plymouth :-)

Some of the projects are highlighted below:

1. Bretonside renovation scheme
2. West end- multi use shop renovation
3. Colin Campbell court landscaping
4. Colin Campbell House renovation

Other projects include theatre sets, medical surgery renovation, residential extensions, youth centre renovation/design, village hall renovation and much more...you will have to update if I have missed any!!

Closure of course...

Unfortunately due to lack of numbers, the spatial design course has been officially closed. However this is a chance to show the world how important spatial design is. It is a valuable design subject in this post industrial time and the country is ripe for new fresh talent to change the way people look at space.

Neglected buildings are in need of saving, urban landscapes need regenerating, waste grounds need revitalising, past mistakes are there to be corrected.

Lets go forth with haste (considered haste) and show the world a more considered approach...and show the value of a subject like spatial design, as we have said many times..it affects people in ways they didn't or dont know it does!!

RIBA President's Medals

Hi everyone...

Below are the links to the RIBA President's Medals winners and nominees for 2009. Although it is architecture and the course/projects are very different to the Spatial Design course you are on, the type of work that is produced is relevant with regards to presentation, drawings, models etc. Also be sure to read the student statements!

Please be aware that the work in the Part 1 category is degree level and the work in the Part 2 category is post graduate level.

The 2009 winners are here:
